First Annual South King County Democrats Dinner

This year’s theme, “Building Our Future”, reminds us all of the hard work involved in creating a future for ourselves and our children. We are also reminded of the unions that we labor with to create that wonderful future.

Please join us for a wonderful evening on June 11, featuring Keynote speaker King County Councilmember Bob Ferguson, candidate for State Attorney General. The festivities will kick off at 5:30 pm, with our dinner beginning at 6 pm. The event will be held at IBEW Hall #46, 19802 62nd Ave. S, Kent.

We also welcome the following elected officials:

• 33rd LD State Representative Tina Orwall
• 33rd LD State Representative Dave Upthegrove
• 33rd LD State Senator Karen Keiser
• 47th LD State Representative Pat Sullivan
• King County Assessor Lloyd Hara

Join us for a spaghetti dinner buffet that includes homemade sauces by contestants of the first ever Sauce-off! The top three winners of the sauce-off are chosen by attendees of the dinner, and prizes will be distributed. Attendees will also enjoy a silent auction, a live auction, a dessert auction, and wonderful entertainment by Danny Welsh.

The South King County Democrats Dinner features the combined efforts of the 33rd and 30th legislative districts as their major fundraiser for the year.

To attend, tickets are $20 per person, pre-order. Tickets at the door will be $25 per person, so get yours before it’s too late!

You can pay for your tickets in several ways:

• Purchase them online through Brown Paper Tickets!
• Purchase them through the mail by filling out the form below and printing it out. State and Federal law requires us to collect the information listed. You can print out this form and mail it to us with your check at the address listed at the bottom.
• We’ll be at numerous events over the next month throughout the South King County area. So catch up to us and purchase your tickets then.

Volunteers

We are also looking for volunteers for the fundraiser itself and to bring desserts to the dessert auction. If you are interested in one or both of these, please send an email to Omaha Sternberg, or give her a call at 206-618-5107, and let her know what you would like to volunteer for.

Sauce-off Competition

The SKCD Sauce-off competition is about who makes the best spaghetti sauce. Anyone can enter, and all you need to participate is to send us which sauce type you intend to compete with (via email or phone call). Let’s get our sauces on!

The available sauce types are listed below. Sauce entries can be made in 1 gallon amounts. If a sauce type is listed as zero gallons, the entry spots for that sauce type are full.

Meat Sauce: 4 gallons
Vegetarian Sauce: 4 gallons
Seafood Sauce: 2 gallons
